Harlow Green Community Primary School is performing well overall, with an overall effectiveness rating of 'Good'.   • Staff know pupils well and address concerns efficiently, with bullying being rare.
  • Leaders and staff are ambitious for all pupils and provide effective support.
  • Strong subject knowledge among staff is effectively used to overcome learning barriers.
  • Clear plans for each subject help teachers cover necessary content and check understanding.
  • Reading is prioritized, and most pupils become fluent readers by the end of key stage 1.
  • The curriculum offers numerous opportunities for pupils to explore different cultures.

Areas for Improvement

  • Some pupils in Years 3 and 4 have gaps in their mathematical knowledge.
  • More opportunities are needed for pupils to solve problems in mathematics.
