The UCL Academy is a secondary school located in Swiss Cottage, London, within the Camden borough. It opened its doors in September 2012 as a non-selective institution, sponsored by University College London (UCL), with initial enrollment of 180 students in Year 7. By September 2017, the academy reached its full capacity of 1,150 students, with a current total of 1,171 students.

The school campus is housed in purpose-built accommodations and was carefully designed by architects Penoyre & Prasad. Facilities include Superstudios for cross-curricular learning, art, music, and drama spaces, science laboratories, and special spaces for STEAM and engineering science, with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. UCL Academy proudly features STEAM as its specialism, and Mandarin language instruction is also prioritized.

UCL sponsorship enables students to access resources and expertise of one of the world's leading universities, as well as participate in master-classes, seminars, and summer schools offered by UCL faculty. The school's Connected Curriculum is based on the principle of students connecting their learning, and all students participate in a self-directed learning program (SDL) and collaborative learning based on Learning Sets.

The academy operates within five Houses, each of which has its own Superstudio space and canteen area, fostering a sense of community and personalized support. Currently, 40% of Level 3 (sixth form) students go on to study at Russell Group universities, and the academy has a strong commitment to health and well-being, being part of the Camden Healthy Schools Programme.

Overall, UCL Academy is a high-achieving institution with a unique and dynamic learning environment designed to inspire and challenge its students to succeed and make a difference.
