Aldersley High School continues to demonstrate a strong performance, maintaining its status as a good school. Most pupils are engaged and enjoy their learning experiences, with many taking advantage of enrichment opportunities. The school has an ambition-oriented curriculum designed from Years 7 to 13, effectively catering to the diverse needs of its students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Leaders prioritize the development of a reading culture and provide robust support for pupils falling behind. The overall atmosphere of the school is positive, with leaders actively encouraging student involvement in decision-making processes. Despite these strengths, there are identified areas for improvement, particularly around the consistency of support provided for pupils with SEND and behavior management during social times. While behavior in lessons has improved significantly, some pupils struggle to meet expectations outside the classroom, leading to an inconsistent atmosphere at times. Continuous efforts from leaders are underway to ensure that all pupils meet the set standards of behavior and learning support.
