The Holgate Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form institution with academy status, located in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, England. Established in 1955, the school follows a motto of "Respect For All. Achievement All." and has a rich history as the former Annie Holgate School. The academy's age range spans from 11 to 18 years, accommodating approximately 993 students. The school's staff number around 420 and offers a variety of curricular and extracurricular activities, including science, maths, computing, geography, history, and French. The sixth form is part of a collaboration with other secondary schools in Hucknall and is rated as "Good" by Ofsted.

The Holgate Academy has four houses (Clumber, Rufford, Sherwood, and Thoresby) that are identified by distinct colors: red for Clumber, green for Rufford, yellow for Sherwood, and blue for Thoresby. The school's sixth form has around 130 students and is notable for its unique collaboration with The National Church of England Academy, which led to the establishment of the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre in 2016, for joint sixth form studies. The institution is part of the Diverse Academies Learning Partnership. It has significantly improved its catering services for students and gained recognition as a school of Arts, employing a resident artist to inspire creativity.

However, according to the latest Ofsted report in September 2022, the academy has been rated Inadequate, raising concerns regarding both behavior management and bullying incidents. The report highlighted that staff did not manage disruptions sufficiently, and pupils reported feeling unsafe.
