This full inspection found the school performing strongly across all areas, with safeguarding standards met. Leaders have maintained high expectations and a highly inclusive culture since recent changes to senior leadership. The school is part of Diverse Academies Trust and serves a community with above-average deprivation; more than half of pupils are eligible for free school meals. Pupils make substantial progress from their starting points through four tailored pathways. The adapted curriculum is well planned, communication and reading are central, and teaching is highly effective. Attendance has improved and is now better than pre-pandemic levels, persistent absence has fallen, and behaviour is positive. Pupils feel happy, safe and valued; bullying is rare, and staff support emotional regulation well. Inclusion is a particular strength: staff identify and meet SEND needs skilfully, use pupil premium effectively, and prepare pupils well for secondary school and life beyond. Leadership and governance are strong, with a culture of professional learning, constructive support and challenge, and effective use of resources. The personal development programme is extensive and tailored, offering enrichment, health education and wider cultural experiences. Inspectors identified no areas for improvement beyond sustaining the school's existing high-quality provision, so there are no weaknesses flagged in this report.
