Monega Primary School is a highly effective, inclusive school where pupils achieve exceptionally well. Inspectors found achievement, early years, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development to be exceptional, while attendance and behaviour and curriculum and teaching were strong. Children in the early years benefit from a remarkably precise curriculum and highly tailored support, helping them become confident learners. Leaders and governors are highly effective, staff feel valued, and the school provides a rich range of experiences that build pupils' aspirations and personal development. The main area for refinement is that, in some subjects, staff do not always make explicit connections between important pieces of knowledge so that pupils' learning deepens further. Attendance has improved dramatically through leaders' effective action, although some pupils still need additional help to attend well.
