Buxton School is performing well overall, maintaining its good status from the last inspection in November 2017. Leaders and staff have created a nurturing environment where pupils feel settled and are well supported, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). The curriculum is ambitious and designed to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, and leaders are making concerted efforts to continually develop and improve the curriculum, particularly in reading and phonics, where initiatives are in place to foster a love for reading and ensure fluency among pupils.
