Compass Community School Athelstan Park is currently rated as requiring improvement overall, with notable concerns in the quality of education and leadership and management. The school serves pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), predominantly those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. While the school provides a safe and supportive environment where pupils can develop positive attitudes, significant gaps in educational provision and inconsistencies in curriculum delivery have hindered the overall effectiveness of learning. The leadership team has seen changes since the last inspection which have impacted the refinement of the curriculum and the management of pupil learning outcomes.
