St Thomas More Language College, located in the heart of Chelsea at the address SW3 2QS, is a mixed Catholic comprehensive school for students aged 11-16 who hail from London and beyond. Founded in 1885, this school was named in honor of Thomas More, an English saint known for his service to the Catholic faith. The school is committed to the ideal that each student embodies the image and likeness of God, aiming to help them achieve their full potential while remaining grounded in Catholic values.

The school is affiliated with the Sisters of Mercy and includes a long history of education for both boys and girls, dating back to 1845, initially accommodating 200 pupils and evolving over time to accommodate 249 students when it transitioned from its original building. The curriculum offers a broad and balanced education, including Religious Education based on Catholic doctrine, and provides students with expertise in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). The school currently offers courses in 37 different language backgrounds, with Portuguese, Spanish, Filipino, and Eritrean languages being the largest contingents.

In addition to academic pursuits, the school encourages students to participate in extracurricular music and language activities. The Music Department offers ensembles and instrumental and vocal tuition in a range of instruments, including flute, saxophone, clarinet, strings, piano, guitar, drums, and voice. High-quality, extra-curricular music is a tradition at St Thomas More, as demonstrated by the involvement of students in choirs, ensembles, and performances. The Modern Foreign Languages Department runs a diverse range of clubs and activities that include collaborative and cross-curricular enrichment days for Key Stage 3 students.

St Thomas More Language College also creates an environment for students to lead healthy lifestyles by supporting physical education and sports, including participation in the RBKC School Games Festival and competitions. The campus itself is surrounded by a variety of galleries and museums, and facilities have been modernized to cater to the needs of a mixed, comprehensive school.
