Wigan and Leigh College is performing well overall, with a 'Good' rating across all inspected areas including the quality of education and leadership. The college supports a diverse group of learners, including vocational students, adult learners, and apprentices, and does so effectively through an ambitious curriculum that is tailored to meet local skills needs. Students demonstrate a positive attitude to learning and benefit from accessible support structures. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly in ensuring that apprentices receive comprehensive personal development and guidance, and addressing the slower progress seen in specific programmes such as animal management.
