Wood Green Academy has shown a decline in overall effectiveness since its previous inspection, which was rated outstanding. Despite leaders taking effective action to improve standards, progress, especially in English, has not improved significantly since 2018. However, the school creates a positive environment where pupils feel safe and enjoy learning, with exemplary behaviour and strong relationships between staff and students. Opportunities for personal development through various programs and extracurricular activities are also commendable.

- English
- Maths
- 3 subjects from qualifications that count towards the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), like sciences, language and history
