Prenton High School for Girls has been assessed as continuing to be a good school, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic achievement and the well-being of its pupils. The school fosters a caring community, where pupils feel safe and supported, contributing positively to their educational experience. With very high expectations from leadership, students engage well with the curriculum, which is designed to meet their individual needs, including those of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The school’s effective safeguarding measures and proactive approach to personal development further enhance the learning environment. However, there are areas that require attention. While most subjects are well-designed and taught, some have not sufficiently emphasized the retention of knowledge, making it challenging for a few pupils to recall and connect previously learned material. Leadership is aware of these challenges and is working on ensuring that these subjects improve in their teaching approaches to reinforce learning retention.
