Mansfield Green E-ACT Academy is an inclusive and welcoming school where pupils feel safe, behave exceptionally well and attend more regularly than they did previously. Leaders have a clear, ambitious vision and have driven rapid improvement since the last inspection, with strong support and challenge from the E-ACT Multi-Academy Trust. Attendance, behaviour, leadership and personal development are particular strengths, and safeguarding standards are met. Pupils benefit from a broad enrichment offer, strong pastoral care and opportunities to take on responsibility. Academic outcomes are more mixed. Attainment and progress in some subjects, especially reading and mathematics, remain below national averages, although this is influenced by historic low outcomes and pupils' varied starting points. The curriculum has been redesigned and is appropriately sequenced, but it is not yet taught consistently across all subjects. Assessment is not always used sharply enough to revisit insecure learning or target support, and adaptations for some pupils are not consistently applied. The school serves a disadvantaged community with a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals. Vulnerable pupils, including those with SEND, disadvantaged pupils, pupils known to social care and those with English as an additional language, are identified early and supported well. Early years provides a positive start, and most pupils are prepared for the next stage of their education. Leaders know what needs to improve next: consistent curriculum implementation, consistent adaptation, and more precise use of assessment to close gaps quickly.
