Mayfield School, part of the Education Impact Academy Trust, is currently recognized as requiring improvement overall. While the leadership and management, as well as personal development, early years provision, and sixth-form provision, have been rated as good, the quality of education, behaviour, and attitudes are areas needing significant enhancement. Despite recent organizational changes and a clear commitment from staff to support pupils' special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), inconsistencies in the implementation of strategies and curriculum hinder the achievement of the school's ambitions for all students. Notably, this is the school's first inspection since becoming an academy.
