Atwood Primary School has demonstrated good overall performance in its recent inspection, with notable strengths particularly in the areas of behaviour and attitudes, as well as personal development, which have been rated as outstanding. The school, which has not previously been inspected under section 5 of the Education Act 2005, shows a strong emphasis on meeting the needs of all pupils, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). However, some areas of the curriculum are newly revised, and teaching in these subjects does not always focus on delivering the intended content, leading to some gaps in knowledge retention among pupils.
