betaOrtu Hassenbrook Academy, located in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, England, is a coeducational secondary school providing education for students aged 11 to 16 within the community of Thurrock Council. Established in 1952 as Hassenbrook Secondary Modern School, ittransitioned into a comprehensive school and later specialized as a Technology College. In 2011, it converted to academy status, then joined the Ortu Federation in 2016 and became known as Ortu Hassenbrook Academy. The school features a motto, "Opportunity Through Learning," and its headteacher since March 2022 is Sally Feeney. Ortu Hassenbrook Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs, and while it does not have its own sixth form, it has links to the Ortu Sixth Form operated by Ortu Gable Hall School. Notable former pupils include politician Graham Bright, comedians Jordan Gray and Phill Jupitus, and boxer Mark Kaylor.
