Thornhill Academy has shown significant improvement since its last inspection, now achieving a good overall effectiveness rating. The school fosters a warm and inclusive environment, celebrating diverse backgrounds, which allows pupils to feel safe and respected. The leadership has ambitious goals for student achievement, and has made advancements in curriculum delivery, although some inconsistencies in implementation hinder full potential. The high mobility of pupils and challenges related to their backgrounds continue to affect external examination outcomes, but the school provides robust support to ease these transitions.
