Pupils meet the school’s high expectations for achievement and behaviour, classrooms are calm and purposeful, and children in the early years settle quickly into routines. The school’s personal development offer is a standout strength, with pupils taking on leadership roles and learning about respect, diversity and democracy. The curriculum is ambitious, reading and early years provision are strong, pupils with SEND are identified accurately, and safeguarding is effective. Governors and trustees understand the school’s priorities and provide appropriate support and challenge.
