Thorpe Primary has achieved 'Good' overall effectiveness in its first inspection since joining Carlton Academy Trust. The school fosters a warm and nurturing environment, where younger pupils are supported by older peers. Staff promote positive behavior and high aspirations among pupils, leading to improvements in behavior and a reduction in bullying. Although the quality of education is generally strong, there are aspects, particularly in the phonics curriculum and subject-specific knowledge delivery, that need further development.
