NexGen Academy demonstrates a good overall effectiveness in educating its pupils, particularly those who have faced educational disruptions in the past. The school provides a calm and supportive environment where students can thrive, bolstered by a committed staff that offers tailored emotional and educational support. The curriculum is ambitious and diverse, enabling students to explore various career pathways, which has led to many Year 11 pupils progressing to further education or apprenticeships. However, there are concerns regarding the consistency of addressing foundational skills in English and mathematics, particularly for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
