Roding Primary School

Roding Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive community primary with specialist provision for up to 35 deaf children. Inspectors found that pupils flourish, behave considerately and benefit from strong support for special educational needs and/or disabilities, including fluent British Sign Language communication. The curriculum is well planned and reading is a particular strength, with well-trained staff helping pupils become fluent readers by the end of Year 1. Personal development is outstanding, with rich clubs, leadership roles and activities that build responsible citizens. Early years provision and safeguarding are effective, and leadership and governance are strong, with staff feeling supported.
