New Horizon Community School has shown some progress since its last inspection, moving from an inadequate rating to requiring improvement overall. The school's nurturing environment fosters positive relationships among pupils, who feel safe and valued. However, the quality of education is still not meeting expectations, particularly in subject delivery and curriculum planning, which has led to some pupils underperforming in areas such as reading and PSHE. There are notable strengths in the school's commitment to citizenship education and support for students' personal development.
