Orange Tree School is proposing to transition from an independent school to an independent special school while increasing its enrollment capacity from 81 to 110 students. The inspection determined that the school is likely to meet the independent school standards, particularly as it has a curriculum tailored to support pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), specifically addressing their social, emotional, mental, and health needs. The approach to education here is marked by a thorough understanding of students' backgrounds, as nearly all arrive having experienced disruptions in their education, and staff take swift action to identify and address learning gaps.
