Millfield Primary School has maintained its status as a good school, as noted in its recent ungraded inspection. Pupils express a strong sense of belonging, and positive relationships between students and staff create a supportive learning environment. The school offers an ambitious curriculum, beginning with strong foundations in the early years, while providing pupils with opportunities to build on their strengths and address challenges. There is a focus on tailored support for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring their inclusion in all aspects of school life. Despite these strengths, some inconsistencies in teaching practices and curriculum delivery were identified. Although the school has recently revised its curriculum to encourage robust learning progression, not all teachers have fully adapted to the new methods, leading to varied learning experiences for pupils. Leadership is aware of these challenges and is working towards ensuring a more consistent approach across all subjects. Overall, while there are areas for growth, Millfield Primary School continues to perform well and is committed to improving further.
