West Kidlington Primary and Nursery School has received its first inspection since converting to an academy in 2017, and it has been judged overall as good. The school has established a caring and nurturing environment, which has led to pupils thriving and embracing the school’s values. Leaders have high expectations and have effectively prioritised phonics and reading, allowing students to become fluent readers early on. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly in the coherence of the curriculum in some subjects and the support for pupils who struggle with behavior management.
