Katherines Primary Academy and Nursery is a welcoming and inclusive school where learners are happy and engaged. The school offers a good quality of education, with teachers effectively promoting a curriculum that deepens students’ understanding and enjoyment of learning. While a strong emphasis is placed on both academic and personal growth, staff are eager to nurture pupils' interests, epitomized by initiatives such as 'Katherines' got talent'. Feedback from parents highlights their appreciation for the school's support of the whole child and the staff's commitment to individual needs. However, the school faces areas for improvement, particularly regarding the consistency of the curriculum in the Nursery, where plans are still being developed. This has led to some children not being as well prepared for future learning. Although the phonics programme is effective for most students, additional support and adaptations are needed for pupils with English as an additional language to enhance their reading fluency. With clear objectives for development set forth for the future, the school is on the right path to address these issues.
