Coundon Court is currently rated as 'requires improvement' overall, with key areas of strength in personal development and leadership. The newly appointed headteacher and leadership team are implementing changes that aim to elevate the quality of education; however, inconsistencies in teaching across subjects result in variable pupil learning experiences. While pupils feel safe and supported, attendance and behaviour still require attention, as there are instances of disruption in lessons despite the school's efforts to create a calm environment. Leaders are focused on ensuring pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive the appropriate support, but some might not be making the expected progress due to inadequate specific guidance. While the personal development curriculum is well-received, there is an urgent need to improve the consistency of teaching practices across all subjects to boost pupil attainment and address the identified gaps in knowledge. Overall, the school has made commendable progress since the previous inspection, but further work is needed to achieve its full potential.
