Applegarth Academy is performing well overall, with a good quality of education and outstanding behaviour and attitudes among pupils. The school has established a positive environment where students enjoy learning and feel safe and valued. Leaders have designed an ambitious curriculum that prepares pupils effectively in reading, writing, and mathematics, particularly emphasizing early reading skills. However, there are challenges in ensuring that all pupils retain key knowledge across all subjects and in providing rich opportunities for personal development beyond the academic curriculum.
