Lime Wood Primary School is a small, inclusive primary school that has made a strong start since opening in 2023. Inspectors found it performing at a strong standard across every evaluated area, with safeguarding standards met. Pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and disadvantaged pupils, achieve well because of a broad, well-sequenced curriculum, effective teaching and a sharp focus on reading, writing and mathematics. Children in early years make strong progress and are well prepared for Year 1. Behaviour and attendance are notable strengths. Pupils attend above the national average, feel safe and behave calmly and respectfully; bullying is rare. The school is highly inclusive, with thoughtful support for pupils with SEND and a specialist resourced provision for autistic pupils established in November 2025. Pastoral care, personal development and extra-curricular opportunities are extensive, and leaders, governors and the Woodland Academy Trust work effectively together. There are no areas of underperformance. The next steps are refinements: strengthening self-evaluation and governor involvement so leaders maintain a sharp understanding of strengths and development areas, and continuing to develop pupils' awareness of factors affecting behaviour and emotions.
