Harris Garrard Academy is a large all-through academy within the Harris Federation, educating pupils from ages 4 to 18 in a relatively deprived area with above-average free school meals. The school is performing very strongly overall. Curriculum and teaching, early years provision, and personal development and wellbeing are exceptional, while achievement, attendance and behaviour, inclusion, and leadership and governance are strong. Safeguarding standards are met. Areas for Improvement
- Post-16 provision is not yet as strong as the rest of the school and is at the expected standard.

- Variability in sixth-form outcomes has resulted from a significant recent increase in student numbers and is still being addressed.
