Elaine Primary School has received its first inspection since becoming an academy and has been rated as good overall. The school has a strong focus on providing a safe and supportive environment for its pupils, who feel happy and respected. A notable strength is the ambitious curriculum that includes a high priority on reading, allowing most pupils to develop into confident readers quickly. Additionally, relationships between staff and students are commendable, contributing to a calm and purposeful school atmosphere. However, leaders are aware that certain subjects, particularly geography, have not yet fully accounted for learning lost during the COVID-19 pandemic, which poses challenges for some pupils in meeting complex concepts.
