Alton Park Junior School is currently rated as requiring improvement in several areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, and personal development. The school has recently made changes to its curriculum and support systems to enhance student learning and attendance, particularly for disadvantaged pupils. However, challenges remain, particularly regarding effective implementation of curriculum and behavior policies, which have led to gaps in knowledge and inconsistent behaviour among pupils. This is the school's first inspection under section 5 of the Education Act 2005 since becoming part of the Sigma Academy Trust and seeing significant leadership changes.
