The main area for development is curriculum and teaching, which is rated at expected standard rather than strong. The curriculum is coherent, phonics and early reading are taught well, and lessons are generally well taught. However, in some foundation subjects, staff do not make explicit enough connections between important knowledge, which can limit the depth of pupils' learning. Leaders should refine this so that pupils build stronger links within and between subjects and develop their knowledge further. Leaders are ambitious, committed to the community, and effective in supporting staff development and wellbeing. Trust leaders and governors provide strong support and challenge. Overall, this is a high-performing and inclusive school with one specific curriculum refinement needed to deepen learning in some foundation subjects.
