The City of Liverpool College has demonstrated good overall effectiveness in its recent inspection, reflecting a commitment to providing quality education across its extensive range of courses. With over 7,600 students and apprentices enrolled, the college excels particularly in personal development and adult learning programmes, which were rated as outstanding. The supportive college environment fosters positive relationships among students and staff, leading to high levels of respect, motivation, and engagement in learning. While the college has strengths in delivering vocational training and career preparation, concerns were raised regarding the low achievement rates for students on AS/A-level courses and the retention of apprentices on their programmes.
