Inspectors found a rich, ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum that helps pupils achieve strong progress from early years through Year 6, with published reading and mathematics outcomes significantly above national levels. The school’s inclusive ethos and strong support for pupils with SEND help all pupils succeed. Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes are exemplary, and personal development is a clear strength. Pupils feel happy and safe, are exceptionally proud of their school, and take part in a wide range of trips, competitions, fundraising and mental health education. Early reading and phonics are prioritised effectively, the early years provision is supportive and challenging, and the music curriculum is exceptional. Leadership is strong, staff are proud to work at the school and value its professional development and well-being support. Trustees and governors support and challenge leaders effectively, parents are exceptionally positive, and safeguarding arrangements are effective. The school is part of the Wandle Trust and operates across two sites; this was its first routine inspection since the COVID-19 pandemic began, and no areas for improvement were identified.
