Hollis Academy is an improving school with a good overall effectiveness rating. Senior leaders have raised expectations for pupil achievement and provide a good quality of education tailored to those who may not thrive in mainstream settings. The school offers various pathways and additional support, resulting in many pupils enhancing their attendance and attitudes over time. The curriculum is becoming more ambitious and better structured, which aids in delivering meaningful qualifications. Although the school has strengths in personal development and leadership, it faces ongoing challenges particularly in behavior management and attendance levels, which have not yet returned to pre-pandemic norms.
