Marton Manor Primary is a friendly, welcoming and inclusive school where staff know pupils and families well and high expectations are evident. The school has improved since its previous inspection and is now performing well across most areas, with particularly strong early years provision. Pupils, including those with SEND, behave well, achieve broadly in line with national averages, and benefit from a broad range of opportunities. The school is part of Lingfield Education Trust, and its specially resourced autism provision, The Base, is well integrated into school life. The curriculum has been reviewed and strengthened with trust support. It is ambitious, clearly sequenced and helps pupils build knowledge over time. Early reading is taught well, support for pupils with SEND is strong, and safeguarding arrangements are effective. Attendance is monitored closely and poor attendance is challenged effectively. Staff feel supported, and governors understand their responsibilities. The main area for improvement is that teaching activities do not always stretch pupils who are ready to move on quickly, meaning some pupils do not gain the depth of understanding they are capable of. Overall, this is a school with notable strengths, a strong early years foundation and a clear focus on continued improvement.
