Lyndon School is a large secondary school in Solihull and part of Summit Learning Trust. Inspectors found it performing strongly across all areas, with safeguarding standards met. Pupils achieve very well regardless of background or starting point, including disadvantaged pupils and pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and they make strong progress from their starting points. Attendance is high, behaviour is respectful, and pupils are calm and purposeful in lessons. The curriculum is ambitious and logically sequenced, teaching is consistently high quality, and inclusion is a significant strength. Leaders identify barriers early and provide effective support, while disadvantaged pupils benefit from well-targeted funding and achieve impressive results. Personal development and wellbeing are also real strengths, with a comprehensive curriculum and a wide range of wider opportunities, careers guidance and destinations support. Leadership, governance and trust collaboration are highly effective, staff are positive, and parents are very positive about the school. The inspection took place in September 2026 following a significant change since the last inspection, including a new head of school. The report identifies no areas of concern and asks leaders and governors to sustain improvements across all areas, including attendance and further curriculum enhancements, to secure a transformational impact on pupils.
