London Islamic School (LIS) is an independent faith school located in Whitechapel, London, at the address 18-22 Damien Street, E1 2HX. Established in 1999, LIS caters to boys aged 11-16, with a current enrollment of 118 students who are predominantly of Bangladeshi heritage but also include students from other minority ethnic groups. The annual fees for day pupils are £1,700. The curriculum aims to provide students with a broad and balanced education that incorporates both the National Curriculum and Islamic studies to encourage students to appreciate and practice their faith while cultivating good citizenship and an understanding of wider cultures.

LIS aims to instill strong Islamic values, self-knowledge, self-esteem, and self-confidence in its students, encouraging a love for learning and the pursuit of excellence in both Islamic theology and National Curriculum subjects. The school strives to promote peace, harmony, and tolerance through the production of well-rounded individuals with good moral, spiritual, ethical, social, and cultural values. Moreover, LIS is committed to creating an environment whereby students can respect the law, show initiative, and become dynamic contributors to local, national, and international issues.

The school has continued to improve, having submitted a successful planning application in 2010 to change the top floor of the building and to enhance specialist areas, resulting in a successful Ofsted inspection in 2008. As of February 2005, LIS was registered for inspection by Ofsted, and as of March 2011, the school was inspected by the Bridge Schools Inspectorate (BSI) under the approval of the Department for Education. The school is non-selective, with no pupils designated as having special educational needs.
