The Thomas Alleyne Academy, situated in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England, holds a rich heritage dating back to 1558. Founded on the legacy of Reverend Thomas Alleyne, the school embraced Academy status in 2013 while maintaining its original roots. The Academy, located at 1 High Street SG1 3BE, is situated at the northern end of Stevenage High Street, placing it in the heart of Stevenage Old Town. The state-of-the-art educational institution features 180 students in each year group, resulting in a total enrollment of 995 students throughout the school's three-tier program: from ages 11 to 18.

Boasting a mixed student body, excellence is championed as their motto. The Academy prides itself on achieving personal growth and excels in maintaining a "Good" rating following the last Ofsted inspection in October 2019. The modern school facilities boast LED lighting, making it environmentally friendly. Notably, the Vincent motorcycle factory once occupied the current reception building, a homage to the site's industrial past.

The Academy offers a curricular freedom granted through its Academy status. This essentially means that the school is independently funded by the central government, rather than relying on its Local Authority funds like traditional schools. The Thomas Alleyne Academy also benefits from links with North Hertfordshire College, facilitating enriched curriculum offerings and opportunities for students.

Additionally, the Academy engages with its local community through various initiatives and events. The school's accomplishments reach further afield, having served as a torchbearer in the summer of 2012 for the London Olympic Games and fostering notable former pupils like Sir Henry Chauncy, Ken Hensley of Uriah Heep, and Graham Poll, a renowned referee. The current Head teacher is Mr Mark Lewis, who also acts as Managing Director of the Hart Schools Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust incorporating Roebuck Academy in Stevenage.
