The Urswick School is a comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Hackney Central, London, situated within the London Borough of Hackney. Established in 1520 as Hackney Free School, it has a rich history, benefitting from a Church of England pedigree dating back to King Henry VII's friend Revd Christopher Urswick, who served as Hackney's Rector. The school merged with Hackney Free and Parochial School in 1722 and moved to its current location in the 19th century, undergoing significant rebuilding and expansion, with its renaming to The Urswick School in 2011.

The Urswick School is a co-educational institution for pupils aged 11 to 19, with GCSEs, BTEC programs, and ASDAN awards as its academic offerings, while the sixth form provides a range of A-level, BTEC, and ASDAN courses. Administratively, the school is a voluntary aided establishment under the joint supervision of Hackney London Borough Council and the Church of England Diocese of London.

In recent years, the school has faced challenges with marginalized groups; it was identified by The Guardian in 2021 as the most disadvantaged secondary school in London and fifth-most disadvantaged in England. In 2020, the school resolved a case involving the exclusion of a student due to her Afro hairstyle, with an out-of-court settlement and a commitment to revise hair policies in accordance with the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
